According to the Il Sole 24 Ore portal, small Bolzano and cosmopolitan Milan are the two best cities to live in Italy.
An important tip for those looking for a good place to live in Italy, during or after obtaining Italian citizenship.
A list published by the communications group The Sun 24 Ore identified the 110 best cities to live in the country.
According to the research, cities perform best in six parameters:
- Standard of living (concerns the average value of pensions and average family consumption and housing costs).
- Business and work (concerns the number of registered companies in relation to the number of inhabitants, employment rate and entrepreneurship).
- Services and environment (which concerns environmental conditions and availability in institutions such as daycare centers and schools, as well as hospitals),
- Population (referring to density per km². migration rate, couple separation and schooling)
- Public order (concerns theft and fraud).
- Leisure (figures referring to tickets sold in cinemas and theaters, presence of tourists, cinemas, libraries, bars and restaurants per 100 thousand inhabitants).
Bolzano is at the top of the best cities in Italy to live in
Bolzano, a small and charming city in the north of the country, where the majority of the population speaks German and just over a quarter speak Italian as their mother tongue, lives better than in all other Italian provinces, according to the survey.
It received the highest score, with highlights being the standard of living and work.
Another big surprise in the twenty-sixth edition of the ranking is the second place awarded to Milan.
The previous year, the most cosmopolitan of Italian cities occupied eighth place.
It stood out due to the high rates of indications of well-being, services and entertainment, although rates related to safety are still low.
