The Italian Consulate General in São Paulo summoned this Friday (24) approximately 17 applicants included in the waiting lists of 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The call is a preliminary phase. Applicants must confirm their interest in the process, via email, by April 23rd.

According to the consulate, after sending the request email,Candidates will receive a response by email, informing the date and time of the call, still in 2020.

Despite progress over the years, the number of calls was much smaller compared to last year. In 2019 alone, the consulate in São Paulo called 32.248 people for citizenship recognition.

CALL FOR APPLICANTS ON THE WAITING LIST FOR THE YEARS 2008, 2009 and 2010
FOR THE DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTATION

Applicants placed on the waiting list for years 20082009 e 2010 may request this Consulate General to schedule the delivery of documentation.

The request must be sent to this Consulate General exclusively by email, to the email address [email protected]  between January 24th and April 23rd, 2020

No other scheduling options are foreseen.

For cases of “Application Form” (FR) with more than one applicant of legal age (18 years of age), it is sufficient to send a single email to each “Application Form”.

For families descending from the same Italian ancestor, even if with different “Application Form” numbers, we recommend sending a single email to ensure that the same family is summoned on a single day, including, however, the forms for each FR holder If the attachments exceed 500KB, it will be possible to send more than one email.

WHAT TO WRITE IN THE APPOINTMENT REQUEST EMAIL:

  • Indicate in the SUBJECT of the email the number of the “Application Form” (FR) with the year in parentheses. For example: “FR 6589 (2008)".
  • In the BODY of the email, specify the total number of people of legal age (18 years old) interested in the recognition of Italian citizenship iure sanguinis, listing for each:
    • Name
    • Last Name
    • Date of birth
    • CPF
    • Complete residence address with:
      • CEP
      • City
      • State
  • Attach the FORM “Convocation Agenda”, completed and SIGNED.
  • Attach a copy of your valid IDENTITY DOCUMENT with a legible signature. 
  • The total of attachments must not exceed 500KB.

ATTENTION:

NO e-mails will be considered

  • Sent after April 19, 2020;
  • Sent to another email address;
  • From applicants placed on waiting lists from other years.

The email address [email protected] is dedicated exclusively to schedule The submission of documentation for the reconstruction of Italian citizenship by right of blood (jure sanguinis) is pending, and therefore no other requests will be answered.

After you have sent the request email, will receive a response via email [email protected], informing the date and time of the call, during the year 2020.

The appointment will be scheduled with sufficient advance notice to organize the documentation.

We kindly ask you not to request the same call with more emails and to periodically check your email server's “spam” system.

We ask that you constantly consult the website of the Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo to be always up to date with any news regarding reception at this Consulate General and payment of the fee.
