As Italianism advanced in February (read hereThe Italian Consulate General in São Paulo has summoned applicants who joined the queue for the Italian citizenship recognition process in 2011 – 11 years ago.
According to a note published by the agency, with instructions and deadlines for confirming scheduling for delivery of documentation, the request must be sent exclusively by email ([email protected]) up until 15 July 2022. There are no other ways to request an appointment.
For families descending from the same Italian with more than one Application Form number, it is sufficient to send a single email.
HOW TO SEND AN EMAIL REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT:
- According to the consulate, when sending the email, the applicant must indicate in the subject of the email the Application Form number (in this case indicated by the initials FR) with the year in parentheses. For example: FR 6589 (2011). If you do not know the application number, the holder must write to the consulate by email: [email protected]
- In the text of the email, specify the total number of applicants currently of legal age, listing the following data for each one:
- Name and surname
- Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
- CPF
- Full residential address

CALL FOR APPLICANTS ON THE 2011 WAITING LIST TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION
Applicants placed on the 2011 waiting list may request this Consulate General to schedule an appointment to submit their documentation.
The request must be sent to this Consulate General exclusively by email writing to the address [email protected] from May 13th to July 15th, 2022. There are no other ways to request an appointment.
If a single Application Form has been made for more applicants from the same family, it is sufficient to send a single email.

VERY IMPORTANT!
- WHEN REQUESTING AN APPOINTMENT, COMPLETE DOCUMENTATION MUST NOW BEGIN TO BE PREPARED AS PUBLISHED (link). DO NOT WAIT FOR THE APPOINTMENT DATE TO PREPARE THE PROCESS, BECAUSE NO RESCHEDULING WILL BE MADE;
- IF THE APPLICANT CANNOT APPEAR, YOU MAY AUTHORIZE BY SIMPLE POWER OF ATTORNEY (link) ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND SO YOU DON'T MISS THE SCHEDULED DATE;
- IF THE DOCUMENTATION IS NOT COMPLETE ON THE SCHEDULED DATE, THE APPLICANT YOU MUST ATTEND ANYWAY TO START THE PROCESS AND PAY THE CITIZENSHIP FEE;
- WE STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED ON OUR WEBSITE MUST BE FOLLOWED STRICTLY TO SPEED UP SERVICE AND AVOID DELAYS;
- IF THE APPLICANT IS NO LONGER INTERESTED IN RECOGNITION OF ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP OR HAS ALREADY COMPLETED THE PROCEDURE IN ANOTHER CONSULATE/COMMUNE, JUST DO NOT REPORT.
- AFTER JULY 15, 2022, APPLICANTS FROM 2011 WHO HAVE NOT REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT WILL HAVE THEIR APPLICATION AUTOMATICALLY DISREGARDED.

- APPOINTMENT REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER 15/07/2022;
- SENT TO ANY OTHER EMAIL DIFFERENT FROM [email protected];
- REQUESTS MADE BY APPLICANT FROM OTHER YEARS (CALL IS ONLY FOR THE LIST OF 2011);
- THE EMAIL [email protected] IT EXISTS ONLY FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF APPLICANTS FROM 2011 AND ANY OTHER MATTER WILL BE DISREGARDED.
