Former President Jair Bolsonaro is reportedly looking for a property in Verona, Veneto, northern Italy. This is what the columnist says Dagmara Spautz, from the news portal Total NSC, from Santa Catarina.
According to her, the information arrived through a “source” with traffic in the Italian real estate market. “The Bolsonaros looked for a broker who operates in the region.”
“Italy is seen as a possible 'escape' for Jair Bolsonaro, who has been in Florida, in the United States, since the end of December. In recent weeks, the former president has officially become the target of investigations at the Superior Electoral Court, for abuse of economic power, and at the Federal Supreme Court, in the investigation investigating the frustrated coup attempt on January 8th,” wrote Dagmara.
He continued: “Although he does not currently have ‘official’ Italian citizenship, Jair Bolsonaro would have no difficulty obtaining the document, since all the family paperwork is already underway. Sources working in this area indicate that the former president would only need to live in Italy for a few months and request the document from the city hall where he is residing.”
At the end of the article, the columnist seeks to relativize the scoop: “to the broker looking for the property, the Bolsonaros would have said that, in principle, the Italian address would be for two of the former president's children”.
