The University of Marília (Unimar) has just launched the cultural competition “Nostra Italia: Italy present in Brazil”. The objective of the award is to honor the Italian community for 148 years of immigration into the country.
With the theme "Italy's historical and contemporary contributions”, the photographs must portray, in a creative and original way, historical or contemporary Italian influences in architecture, gastronomy, economy and education.
According to data from Italian Embassy in Brazil, approximately 27 million descendants of Italians reside in the country and are distributed mainly across the southeast and south of the country, that is, almost 15% of the total Brazilian population.
The cultural competition has the support of Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo and Italian Institute of Culture of São Paulo (IICSP).
Students from basic education, elementary school I and II, high school and people over 18 years old, from any location in Brazil, can participate.
More information such as registration, regulations and other guidelines will be available on the website: https://oficial.unimar.br/concurso-cultural-de-fotografia-nostra-italia-a-italia-presente-no-brasil/
