O Consulate General of Italy in São Paulo will fully resume in-person service this Wednesday (17). The measure ends the suspension of services, which began after a Smoke incident at the building entrance last Thursday (11).
According to the consular office, users with appointments will be able to attend as normal, according to the chosen service modality and the confirmations received through the Prenot@mi portal.
Rescheduling of cancelled appointments
The Consulate has informed that it has already begun rescheduling appointments that were canceled during the suspension period. The process covers some appointments from June 11th and all appointments from June 12th, 15th, and 16th.
The consulate itself detailed the procedure. "In parallel, we have already begun and will continue, in the coming days, the process of rescheduling appointments that were canceled due to the temporary suspension of services," the Consulate stated. According to the note, users "are being contacted individually by phone and/or email."
Thanks from the department
In a statement, the consular office thanked those who sent messages during the shutdown and cited the commitment of staff, technicians, and authorities to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
The Consulate stated that the priority was to guarantee “the safety of users, employees, and all those who frequent this Consulate General.” The office added that the restoration of conditions for a safe reopening occurred “thanks to collaborative work.”
