From January to October of this year, the Italian Consulate General in São Paulo issued 21.540 passports.
According to a note published on the organization's official page, the record was possible due to the change in the scheduling system and the dedication of employees.
Last year, the consulate replaced the fraudulent "Prenota Online" system with scheduling via WhatsApp for passport issuance and renewal services.

Now, Italians interested in issuing or renewing their passports need to make a video call via WhatsApp, once their marital status has been properly updated. Citizens can contact the consulate via two numbers available on their website, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 17:30 PM.
The video call can only be made by the interested party.
