Dozens of families of Italian descent participated in the Parade of Italian Families on the morning of this Sunday (21), in new venicein southern Santa Catarina. The presentation was one of the most anticipated moments of the municipality's Gastronomy Festival.
Held on the city's main street, the parade brought together participants in traditional costumes and decorated floats. They celebrated the customs inherited from their ancestors in front of residents and tourists.
Along the route, many families distributed handcrafted products and Italian culinary delicacies to the spectators, such as cheese, salami, polenta, and wine. The initiative transformed the journey into a gastronomic experience open to the public.
The performance attracted a large number of people, who lined the sidewalks to watch the families pass by. Municipal authorities participated in the event, including the mayor, the deputy mayor, and council members, who applauded the participants and highlighted the preservation of Italian culture in the city.
