This month, the Casa da Memória Italiana Museum, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), offers a special program for the holidays. Inspired by legend of Befana, an Italian folk figure, the main attraction is a free magical treasure hunt.
The activities will take place on January 17, 23 and 24, at 15 pm, and on the 18 and 25, at 10 am. Registrations can be made in advance via WhatsApp (16) 99760-9946, or until 9:30 am on the day of the action.
Treasure hunt and Italian traditions
The legend of Befana tells the story of an old lady who, on Epiphany night, gives gifts to children. The treasure hunt invites children to explore the character's “lost gifts” while learning about Italian culture and the museum's collection.
Participants receive a symbolic gift at the end, reinforcing values such as generosity and cultural discovery.
Open Yard and Book Exchange
On January 26th, the museum promotes the event Open Yard, with unmediated visits to the historic house between 9 am and 10:30 am. Storytelling will take place from 11 am to 12 pm.
At the same time, from 9 am to 12 pm, the second edition of the Book Exchange Fair. To participate, simply bring a book to exchange for another.
