According to the AISE news agency, the president of the Saarbrücken Committee, Patrizio Maci, met with the mayor of Überherrn, in the German state of Saarland, Anne Yliniva-Hoffmann, to discuss the engagement of the Italian community in the region. Maci presented to the mayor the initiatives of local Italians in favor of cultural exchange between Italy and Germany and the strengthening of ties between the two countries.
The conversation included topics such as the Republic Day celebration held at Europadankmal in Berus, and the city's partnership with Camaiore. Yliniva-Hoffmann highlighted that many families in Überherrn have Italian roots and that Italian associations, businesses, and cuisine have enriched the local community for decades.
