According to the AISE news agency, the Italian Consulate General in Bahía Blanca is seeking an honorary consular agent for Ushuaia, in the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. The position is voluntary and unpaid, with reimbursement only for telephone and postal costs. The deadline for applications is August 31st, via email. [email protected], with the subject “Candidacy for ACO Ushuaia”. The term begins on September 7, 2026.
Applicants must reside in Ushuaia, be over 18 years of age, be registered with AIRE (if Italian citizens), and have no convictions in Argentina or Italy. Fluency in Italian and Spanish, a network of contacts with local authorities, and adequate physical space to house the agency are required. The applicant is responsible for office expenses.
