According to the newspaper Corriere della Sera, two Luxembourgish brothers, born in 2002 and 2004, were arrested on suspicion of having beaten to death 34-year-old Antonio Perrotta in the parking lot of the Il Castello nightclub in Sangineto, on the Cosentino coast in Calabria. Perrotta, a factory worker and father of four, was found unconscious on the sidewalk near the scene. Taken to the hospital in Cetraro and then urgently transferred to the ICU in Cosenza, he died a few hours later. The suspects had already bought plane tickets and were about to leave Italy when they were arrested.
The altercation reportedly began because the two brothers entered the nightclub without purchasing tickets. Internal security personnel approached them, the argument escalated, and it ended outside.
