Strict measures are being adopted to stop coronavirus infection
It will only be possible to enter and leave Lombardy, in the northern region of Italy, for “serious or unavoidable” reasons. This is according to the draft of the Italian government decree that could be published this Sunday (07).
The “safety zone” should be imposed “to stop coronavirus infection”, according to government members.
According to the draft decree, restrictions must remain in force until at least April 3 and the provinces involved are: Parma, Piacenza, Rimini, Reggio-Emilia, Modena, Pesaro and Urbino, Venice, Padua, Treviso, Alessandria and Asti.

Schools of all levels, bars and clubs, gyms, museums, churches or gathering places must remain closed. Restaurants and bars are open, but patrons must be one meter away from each other, otherwise the activity will be suspended.
The government is also considering limiting internal urban mobility in “safety zones”.
Second president of Lombardy, decree to close Lombardy is confusing
“The draft of the government measure that I received only at night seems to go in the direction of limiting the spread of the virus, inviting, with more incisive measures, citizens to prudence”, but “I cannot fail to highlight that the draft of the President's decree of the Council of Ministers is, to say the least, confused”. This is the first comment by Attilio Fontana, president of Lombardy, who was also infected with the coronavirus.
“We are in contact with government representatives,” Fontana added.
So far, Italy has recorded 5.883 cases, with 233 deaths. According to Civil Defense, 589 people have already been cured.
