A Italian selection of chefs won three medals in the main awards at the Global Chef Challenge, a global gastronomic competition held in Singapore, the Italian Cuisine Federation (Federcuochi) said.
The team led by CEO Gianluca Tomasi and coached by Pierluca Ardito, climbed to three podiums, taking first place overall in the “Pastry” category, with Luca Bnà and Mattia Silvio Sabatini; second place in the “Senior Hot Kitchen” category, with Giuseppe De Vincenzo and Andrea Serale; and third in the “Junior Hot Kitchen” category, with Francesco Locorotondo.
“Absolute world champions, an incredible result, the fruit of months and months of intense work, exhaustive training and a lot of research, to present the World Championship jury with impeccable and creative dishes, both in terms of flavor and aesthetics of presentation,” explained Tomasi.
According to the Italian, this is “a result that makes us extremely proud and that does justice to the effort and passion of these boys.” (HANDLE)
