A Italy proposed itself as a point of reference for the Network of Ministers of Security and Justice of Latin America and the Caribbean, an initiative launched at the Guayaquil Security Summit, organized by the Ecuadorian authorities, to promote dialogue, cooperation and exchange of experiences.

The “network”, which is now taking its first steps, aims to generate useful knowledge for combating transnational organized crime at a regional level.

It is in this context that Italy, in line with the legal diplomacy promoted globally by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Affairs (Maeci), has made its own experiences available.

Italy was represented at the event, which has just concluded, by the director of the Euresp program, Paolo Di Sciuva, and the security expert at the Italian Embassy in Quito, colonel of the Finance Guard, Sergio de Sarno, who also represented the ambassador Giovanni Davoli.

In the session dedicated to crime financing, Colonel of the Finance Guard Paolo Brucato also made his contribution. (HANDLE)
