Italy will host a series of cultural and food and wine activities from the beginning to the end of December, on the occasion of the end of year festivities, mainly the Christmas.
The initiative is part of the new edition of “Cantine Aperte”, the last event in the 2024 calendar of the Wine Tourism Movement (MTV) that welcomes enthusiasts and those curious about the oenology and wine tourism sector in the country.
The program includes tastings, markets, brunches, lunches and dinners in the company of wine producers, themed musical and cultural events, training sessions, gift packages with wine experiences, solidarity activities for the holidays, creative and culinary workshops and sustainable gifts for a “green Christmas”.
“A month of great celebration with tastings and unforgettable moments of fun at the table and in the cellar”, said Violante Gardini Cinelli Colombini, president of the Wine Tourism Movement.
According to her, with the event at Christmas, everyone wants to “offer wine tourists the opportunity to discover their own favorite wine, to remember and give to those they love”. “When we experience Christmas, it is inevitable to think about the joy of children. We also think about them, when they visit the MTV wine cellars with their parents”, she added.
Colombini mentioned a special new feature. This edition will feature an advent calendar for children to draw and write stories related to the world of wine, in the company of elves, gnomes and all the friends from Christmas fairy tales.
In addition, there will be an opening of the nativity scenes in the historic centers to be experienced and admired in all their charm. Afterwards, the experience continues in the wine cellar, where participants will be able to have a glass of wine and taste extra virgin olive oil, artisanal chocolates and other local delicacies.HANDLE)
