Italian tennis player Salvatore Caruso, who inherited the place from Novak Djokovic, was eliminated this Monday (17) from the Australian Open by Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic.
In the match played in Melbourne, Kecmanovic did not find it difficult to defeat his Italian rival, as he managed to win by 3 sets to 0, with partials of 4/6, 2/6 and 1/6.
Caruso is 29 years old and is currently 150th in the ATP rankings. The tennis player had been eliminated by Japanese Taro Daniel (120th) in the Australian Open preliminaries, but benefited from the absence of Djokovic, who was deported by the Australian government after failing to justify the lack of vaccination against Covid-19.
Among other Italians present at the Grand Slam, Fabio Fognini was eliminated by the Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, while Lorenzo Sonego overcame the American Sam Querrey and continued in the competition. Stefano Travaglia, Marco Cecchinato, Gianluca Mager and Jannik Sinner will be on the court from 21pm (Brasília time).
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.
- New legal front opened
- Processes can still be filed.
- Individual assessment before any decision.
Kecmanovic, 22 years old, will face American Tommy Paul on Tuesday (18). The tennis player stated that the Serbs will avenge Djokovic on court at the Australian Open. (Handle)
