The book tells the story of 69 families of Italian origin who live in the city
The book “Italianos in Itu – from immigration to current affairs”, published by Editora FoxTablet, in Salto, and organized by Edson and Fátima Boni and Vilma Pavão Folino, will compete in two categories – Cover and Biography – in the 2018 Jabuti Prize, from the Brazilian Chamber de Livros, which will award the winners in November this year.
The book tells the story of 69 families of Italian origin who live in the city, and each of them was written by the characters themselves.
The 2018 Jabuti Prize will have a new form of award, which will now only include the first place winner in each category, chosen from the ten books with the best score given by the panel of judges.
An author will be chosen as the winner of Book of the Year (Fiction or Non-Fiction) by the panel of judges, based on the highest average obtained. Only the winners of the categories that make up the Literature and Essays axes, namely: Short Story, Chronicle, Comics, Children and Youth, Poetry, Romance, Translation, Arts, Biography, Sciences, Creative Economy and Humanities, compete for this award.
CBL will publish the list of ten finalists in each of the 18 categories in advance. As was the case with the Book of the Year, all winners will only be known through auditing until they are revealed at the award ceremony.
