A Buitoni brand, which made the history of the production of pasta Made in Italy, will no longer exist.
The news leaked after the decision of the Nestlé, the multinational owner of the brand, not to renew the concession to the group Newlat Food, which is responsible for production, according to TG24 Sky.
The company's agri-food sector acquired the pasta factory in 2008 to continue supplying bakery products and formats pastas.
With the option not to renew the license to use the brand specifically for dry and baked pasta, the brand Buitoni is destined to significantly reduce its presence on shelves.

Pasta sector loses Buitoni brand
Nestlé will not renew the license to use the Buitoni logo, but the historic pasta factory in Arezzo will continue to operate to produce other brands such as Delverde, Giglio and Polenghi, for example.
The Swiss multinational Nestlé will maintain ownership of the Buitoni brand with a commitment not to sell it. But the future is uncertain.
Newlat Food's idea of buying it, expressed several times by owner Angelo Mastrolia, remained only on paper.
