Opera Wine: the 2021 special edition
Due to the Coronavirus, Opera Wine had to adapt to restrictions to avoid contamination, temporarily becoming an online event that will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2021.
Opera Wine rewards the excellence of Italian producers who, although they differ in style and size, share the very high quality of wines.
Wine Spectator has selected producers capable of best representing Italy's tradition: they produce the best Italian wines around the world. They are leaders in their own regions and testify to the diversity, heritage and authenticity that are the distinctive characteristics of Italian wine.
The wineries of Italy “all timer” selected
For the special edition of the tenth anniversary, the wineries “all timer”, those that are always present from 2012 until today.
The veterans of the Opera Wine project are: Antinori, Masciarelli, Feudi di San Gregorio, Mastroberardino, Livio Felluga, Cotarella – Falesco family, Bellavista, Cà del Bosco, Nino Negri, Umani Ronchi, Aldo Conterno, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Mascarello & Son, Paolo Scavino, Renato Ratti, Vietti, Planeta, Tasca d'Almerita, Ferrari, Castello di Ama, Castello di Volpaia, Domini Castellare di Castellina, Fontodi, Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi, Ornellaia, San Felice, Tenuta San Guido, Arnaldo Caprai, Lungarotti , Allegrini, Leonildo Pieropan, Masi and Zenato.
Tuscany is the most represented region in the list of the 200 best wineries in Italy selected by Opera Wine with up to 48 wineries present.
Next comes the Piedmont with 26 labels chosen in the project, which for nine years has had the collaboration of veronafiere, Vinitaly and the prestigious American magazine W.
