The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) in Rio de Janeiro will organize a photographic exhibition of urban landscapes recorded by Milanese artist Gabriele Basilico, who passed away in 2013.
Curated by Giovanna Calvenzi and Filippo Maggia, the exhibition will bring to the public dozens of images taken by the photographer between 1978 and 2012.
The event, which will begin on July 19 and run until September 13, will feature the cities of Milan, Rome, and Beirut represented at different points during the exhibition.
Basilico's images, which capture the architectural essence of the municipalities, also highlight the Uffizi, the Maschio Angioino, St. Mark's Square and Vesuvius. The exhibition will also include photos of Rio de Janeiro taken by the Italian in 2011. (HANDLE)
