A strong earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was felt in the early hours of Tuesday (15) in Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy.
On social media, Italians reported that the earthquake was also felt in several places, including Bologna, Padova and some cities in Veneto, which announced the closure of schools this Tuesday.
The epicenter was located along the coast of Ravenna. According to surveys by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv), the magnitude was 4,6, with a hypocenter at a depth of 25 km. Half an hour later a less intense aftershock: 3.0, with the epicenter this time 9 km from Cervia.

Many people, frightened, left their homes and took to the streets. Immediately, firefighters and civil protection were activated. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
