Italy seeks partnership for the last phase of vaccine development in Santa Catarina
Looking at the evolution of Italian vaccine against the new coronavirus, the Federal University of Santa Catarina promoted a debate this Friday (6).
The information was released by deputy Ismael dos Santos, full member of the Health Committee of the Santa Catarina Parliament.
“According to the diplomatic and scientific leaders of the Italian Embassy, the vaccine is progressing well and will represent an interesting solution to the vaccines already being developed around the world,” the deputy posted on his account on Instagram.
The Italian vaccine is financed by the government of Italy and the government of the Lazio Region, on a non-profit basis.

According to Italian ambassador Francesco Azzarello, there is the availability of a partnership with Santa Catarina for the last phase of vaccine development, in Santa Catarina territory.
“The interest in Santa Catarina occurs because it is a region that has 67% of the population of Italian origin”, added the deputy.
The debate was established by Diego Mezzogiorno, counselor of Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Santa Catarina.
