An Italian village submerged by a dam is the setting for an original Netflix series that will be released worldwide on June 10th.
“Curon” has seven episodes and takes place in Curon Venosta, a small town of 2,4 thousand inhabitants located in South Tyrol, in the far north of Italy, almost on the border with Austria and Switzerland, where it is easier to hear German than the national language.
The landscape is marked by a 14th century bell tower semi-submerged in the Resia Lake, formed by a dam built without the residents' consent and which covered the entire old village, later rebuilt a few meters higher.
Directed by Fabio Mollo and Lyda Patitucci, the series tells the story of Anna (Valeria Bilello), who returns to Curon, her hometown, with her teenage twin children, Mauro (Federico Russo) and Daria (Margherita Morchio).
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.
- New legal front opened
- Processes can still be filed.
- Individual assessment before any decision.
When the woman mysteriously disappears, the young people must begin a journey that will reveal secrets hidden in the apparent tranquility of the city. Curon Venosta is also portrayed in a book recently released in Brazil, “Daqui não saio”, by Marco Balzano.
Based on a long letter from the peasant teacher Trina to her daughter, Márica, The novel tells the story of the village's resistance against Mussolini's fascism, Hitler's Nazism and the threat of the dam.
