Canned wine is launched in Italy

The first wine in cans in the country.

Called “Perledellago”, the product refers to the winery where it was created, Perla del Garda, in the province of Brescia, Lake Garda region, in Lombardy.

From an oenological point of view, canned wine is made from Turbian grapes, typical of the territory and certified, with a reduced alcohol content.

The new product is aimed at younger people, who prefer using wine in cocktails, rather than enjoying it directly. Furthermore, the proposal meets sustainability, as all cans, made from aluminum, are 100% recyclable.

Unlike other countries, canned wine was not well regarded in Italy by traditional lovers of the drink, who have the “Belpaese” as one of its main producers in the world. (HANDLE)
