The Permanent Exhibition of Italian Cinema celebrates its 10th edition with 43 films by 25 of the most expressive directors of the Belpaese.

With free entry, the event takes place in São Paulo at the Cine-Teatro Denoy de Oliveira between February 3rd and December 1st.

Every Monday, the public will be able to watch dramas such as “The Monster on the Front Page”, by Marco Bellocchi, “The Desert of the Tartars”, by Valerio Zurlini, and “The Conformist”, by Bernardo Bertolucci.

The program also includes comedies, such as “Tudo Certo, mas Nada em Ordem”, by Lina Wertmüller, romances, such as “Amargo Despertar”, by Vittorio de Sica, as well as musicals, police stories, adventures and other genres.

An additional session will be offered on Saturday, March 15th.
Organized by the Popular Culture Center of the Municipal Union of Secondary Students of São Paulo (Umes), the Permanent Exhibition of Italian Cinema “is an initiative to honor and disseminate one of the most important cinematographies in the world”.

“Unfortunately, today Italian cinema is no longer very accessible through other means, such as streaming services or even in the programming of other cinema spaces, which are crammed with works from the dominant American industry,” says a statement published on the Umes website, where the full program is available.
