In its fourth edition, the award is dedicated to craft beer producers in Italy
The best Italian beer of 2018 is from Piedmont. The Soralamà brewery with its “Birra Slurp” won the Spiga d'Oro award for best beer of the year, a competition dedicated to Italian craft beer producers.

With a low alcohol content, Slurp is a low-fermentation Pils-style beer with a golden color and a fine foam, with floral notes and a citrus aroma.
Organized by FederBirra – Italian Craft Beer Federation, the award is in its fourth edition, and aims to select the best Italian productions, subdividing them by product category.
Piedmont is a region located in northern Italy, with 4,3 million inhabitants and bordering France and Switzerland.
