Ranking takes into account the number of countries that can be visited without needing a visa
The consultancy Henley & Partners released this Tuesday (07) its traditional index mobility guide that lists the countries whose passports give access to more destinations without the need for a visa.
Italy is the second European country that has the passport The most valuable passport, guaranteeing visa-free access to 188 destinations, is second only to the German passport, which grants access to 189 countries.
Japan ranks 1st globally, with its citizens enjoying visa-free access to a total of 191 countries. In a further demonstration of the power of the Asian passport, Singapore comes in 2nd place, with access to 190 destinations worldwide.
Brazil is ranked 19th, alongside Argentina. A Brazilian passport grants entry to 170 countries. Chile (174), in 16th place, is the highest-ranked Latin American country in the ranking.
