Rio celebrates Italian culture with dance, gastronomy and music

The Italian Cultural Institute of Rio de Janeiro will celebrate Italian culture with an experience that will combine dance, music, photography and gastronomy, on August 2nd.

The series of initiatives will feature the performance entitled “Sincronias Extermporâneas”, in which the renowned Italian dancer Filippo Domini, member of Compagnia Zappalà Danza, will present a choreography.

Domini will be accompanied by Italian violinist, bassist and guitarist Fabrizio Filesi and polystrumentalist and composer Nayara Danielly.

Furthermore, the exhibition “Gabriele Basilico. Urban Landscapes” is one of the highlights of the event. Known worldwide for his photographs that capture the essence of cities and their transformations, Basilico shows a deep and reflective vision of the urban environment.

To celebrate the gastronomy of the “Belpaese”, visitors will be able to taste an authentic Italian pizza in Piazza Italia, prepared by chef Pierluigi Russo, from Bento Pizzeria.
