Andrea Bocelli will celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Romanza," the album that marked his international breakthrough, with the release of two special collector's editions and a commemorative world tour that begins on September 8th in Seattle.
The first release, “Romanza (30th Anniversary)", arrives on the market on September 25th by Sugar Music/UMeThis edition revisits the 1996 album, which sold nearly 20 million copies and remains the best-selling Italian album of all time.
Extended version of 'Con te partirò'
In addition to the 16 original tracks, the new version features previously unreleased photographs from the recording sessions and, for the first time, an extended version of "Con te partirò," one of the tenor's greatest career hits.
The album also includes classics such as "Time To Say Goodbye," recorded with Sarah Brightman, and "Vivo per lei," a collaboration with singer Giorgia.
Box of rarities in November
On November 20th, it will be the turn of “Rarities: Collector's Edition”, a limited and numbered edition box set with three unreleased albums: “Le Mie Poesie”, with poems written and recited by Bocelli accompanied by music, “Torre del Lago” and “Dall'Archivio”, consisting of archival recordings.
The collection also includes an illustrated book with previously unpublished photographs of the artist's life and career, personal writings, poems published for the first time, and other exclusive materials from the singer's archive.
The box set will be presented at the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico. Bocelli's hometown, through an exhibition dedicated to the tenor's artistic journey. The show will bring together rare recordings, images, and accounts of his three-decade career.
The releases accompany the world tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of "Romanza," which will travel to various cities in North America, with performances in large theaters and arenas. (With information from ANSA)
