The Coffee Lake, in Campinas (SP), will host, starting this Tuesday (30), the exhibition “Nonni di São Paulo”. The exhibition, organized by the Immigration Museum with support from Consulate General of Italy and the Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism, aims to honor Italian immigrants and their descendants.

The exhibition started at 11am this Tuesday and runs until October 29th. From Tuesdays to Fridays, it runs from 10am to 12pm and from 14pm to 17pm, and on Saturdays, from 10am to 14pm, with free entry to Casa de Vidro, in Lago do Café.

The exhibition initially took place in March 2019, at Immigration Museum, in São Paulo (SP), and, since then, has been traveling to cities in São Paulo. The opening in Campinas had a special participation by barista Fernando Santana, with a tasting of gourmet coffees.

“Nonni di São Paulo” has 50 testimonies, which record characters and stories of immigrants from the region. The curation was carried out by Oliviero Pluviano, an Italian journalist living in Brazil, and comprises an overview of the cultural reality of the state chosen by the Italian community from the 50s onwards.

Group visits must be scheduled via email: [email protected].
