The theatrical monologue “A Piece for Fellini” is showing in Rio de Janeiro, which offers a tour of the life and work of the Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini through the eyes of the cleaning lady Giuvaneide, played by Márcia do Valle.
Directed by Márcia herself and Cavi Borges, more than a biography, the play presents the characters, themes and techniques that marked Fellini's career, celebrating the seventh art with humor and lightness.
Born in Rimini on January 20, 1920, Fellini used his childhood experiences as a fundamental part of many of his films, such as “The Welcome”, from 1953, “8 de Meio”, from 1963, and “Amarcord”. , from 1973.
The director was immortalized by the poetry of his films, which even when they criticized society still exalted the magic of the big screen.
The plot still interacts with the location, as the play is showing at Cine Teatro Joia, in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. The season, which started on the 5th, will run until April 27th.
