Tell Brazilian consumers about the qualities of preserved Italian tomatoes and thus take advantage of the wave of increased imports of one of the most famous Italian and European excellences.
It is this spirit that drives the consortium’s participation “Hi, industry pomodoro Bacino Centro Sud Italia” at Super Rio Expofood 2024, one of the main agri-food fairs in Brazil, which takes place from March 19 to 21, in Rio de Janeiro.
During the event, the “Meu Tomatì” project, financed by the European Union and taken to Rio with the support of the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be presented.
“We count a lot on this initiative,” said Michele Sabatino, representative of the consortium, during a press conference. “Taking into account the economic export data we have available, expectations are for an increase in sales,” he added.
According to Sabatino, the presence in Rio “is essential to inform Brazilians that our product is more expensive than others not only due to taxes or transportation costs, but because it represents excellence guaranteed by controls and certifications in Italy and Europe”.
The event also represents “a new cycle of initiatives organized by the Chamber of Commerce to encourage the growth of commercial relations and the consolidation of economic relations between Italy and Brazil”, said the president of the institution, Renata Novotny.
