Live debate will feature politicians and representatives of the Italian community in the state
TVAL will broadcast this Thursday (10), at 19pm, a special edition of the program “Em Discussão” about the Italian referendum, which will decide whether or not to reduce the number of parliamentarians in Italy.
The debate was proposed by Italian Chamber of Commerce of Santa Catarina, through the counselor Diego Mezzogiorno, and by the Committees (Committee of Italians Abroad, PR/SC constituency).
The committee oversees the consulate within its jurisdiction and represents the needs of Italian citizens abroad in their dealings with diplomatic and consular representations.
The live debate, completely virtual, will be mediated by the journalist Marcelo Espinoza and will have three blocks, with the participation of politicians and representatives of the Italian community.
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.

Meet the debaters:
- Luis Molossi, president of the Committees. Born in Nova Bassano (RS). He's a lawyer. He was a candidate for the Italian Parliament in 2013 and 2018 and was first substitute in both.
- Walter Petruzziello, former president of Comites. Born in the province of Avellino, Italian region Campania. He is a lawyer and economist. He contested elections as deputy and senator in the Italian Parliament.
- Fabio Porta, former deputy representing the Electoral College of South America (largest electoral college outside Italy). Born in Caltagirone, Sicily. Graduated in Economic Sociology at La Sapienza University in Rome. He is director of the School of Political Training at the “W.Tobagi” Cultural Center in Rome. Professor of Sociology of Communication at the Popular University of Rome. He was a deputy of the Italian Parliament for the South America constituency between 2008 and 2017. In 2018 he ran for a seat in the Senate.
- Alessandro de Rose Guilardi, Italian-Brazilian lawyer, president of the Human Rights Commission and licensed General Secretary of the 100th Subsection of the OAB/SP.
- Rita Blasioli, advisor to the General Council of Italians Abroad, coordinator of Patronato Acli do Brasil. Born in Manoppello Scalo, in the province of Pescara.
- Giorgio Grassi, member of the 5 Stelle Movement, the party that proposed the referendum in Italy. He is a financial analyst and psychologist. He ran for a deputy seat in the Italian Parliament. He is a member of the Associação Itália-Porto Alegre association.
- Mauro Bresolin, president Circolo Ítalo-Brasileiro.
