Italian companies rooted in Brazil make Italy a very important economic leader in Latin America
The Italian ambassador in Brasilia, Antonio Bernardini, said this Thursday (25) that Brazil represents for Italy a “unique phenomenon on the international scene”.
The diplomat highlighted the role of Italian companies in Brazil and the links that unite the two countries. “We are the largest foreign investor in the country, Italian companies are protagonists in many sectors of productive activity in Brazil. In electrical energy, we have Enel; in telecommunications, TIM; in the automotive sector, Fiat; in tires, Pirelli; in steel, Techint. There are many Italian companies rooted in the country and that make Italy a very important economic leader in Latin America”, said Bernardini.
The statement was made to the Ansa news agency during the 13th Conference of Ambassadors, a biennial event held in Rome by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
