The British disembark at Sicilia looking for houses to buy in the most picturesque towns on the island.
The English, through an investment fund, want to restore the most remote and fascinating centers of Sicily: according to initial estimates, they have been identified 900 houses em 30 different cities.
The project is called It's for Sicily and is done through an agreement with interested municipalities that commit to selling the houses. In return, the investment fund attracts foreign buyers. So far, agreements have been signed with 6 Sicilian cities.
Castiglione

Castiglione di Sicilia is one of the municipalities that joined the project 1 euro houses, which aims to requalify areas of historic centers by encouraging purchases at symbolic prices. Now, the Sicilian village – between Etna and Alcantara – also signed the agreement for the project It's for Sicily.
Montalbano Elicona

Inserted in the circuit of most beautiful villages in Italy and proclaimed Village of villages in 2015, Montalbano Elicona entered the “sights” of British buyers. It is a village of just over 2 thousand inhabitants in the metropolitan region of Messina.
Sambuca

Among the municipalities that signed the agreement, Sambuca could not be missing, the Sicilian village that conquered Hollywood: the American actress Lorraine Bracco, known to the general public for the roles played in the film” These good guys ” and in the TV series ” The Sopranos" bought a house in this village in the province of Agrigento, taking advantage of the “1 Euro Houses” project.
His purchase attracted the attention of other US buyers, who will now have to compete with British buyers.
