According to Sky TG24, Spain reintroduced border controls for travelers arriving from Italy starting at midnight on Saturday, August 8th, in response to a measure adopted by Rome since August 1st. The checks will be in effect at ports and airports until September 7th, at the peak of the European summer holidays. The decision by Pedro Sánchez's government came after Italy reinstated controls on arrivals from Spain due to the influx of tens of thousands of migrants into the Ceuta enclave.

For Brazilian travelers with an Italian passport, the required documents remain the same: a valid electronic identity card for international use or a valid passport is sufficient.
