“We must start living again, there are other issues that we have lost besides Covid-19”
A restaurant in Rome, Italy, has banned customers from discussing the coronavirus pandemic on the premises.
The rule of the establishment, which is in the region of Galeria Bridge, is clearly visible on a yellow paper next to the coffee machine.
In another notice, the restaurant informs that it “does not recommend” that customers “formulate possible scenarios” of the emergency or about the next anti-Covid measures of the so-called “DPCM”, which is the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers.
“We noticed that there was a bad mood among customers. Everyone ate breakfast alone. If someone talked to someone else, the topic was always about the bad behavior of those who didn't respect the rules. The atmosphere became heavy,” said Cristina Mattioli, owner of the establishment, in an interview with HANDLE.
The Supreme Court reaffirmed: citizenship is born with the person.

To try to get customers to talk about other topics, Mattioli decided to implement the unusual rule.
“We came up with this idea to encourage customers to talk about other things. We must start living again, there are other issues that we have lost besides Covid-19. We have to resume our normal lives”, continued Mattioli.
According to the restaurant owner, customers approved the initiative and many were excited about the news.
“No one is underestimating the moment we are living in or the precautions to be respected, but we need to be lighter without breaking the rules, at least during the coffee break”, concluded the Italian.
